Description

In 1943, Russian cipher clerk Igor Gouzenko (Dana Andrews) reported to the Soviet Embassy in Ottawa in order to handle sensitive intelligence. As he and his wife Anna (Gene Tierney) grew to accept life in the West, he balked at his orders to return home─and his choice to go to the Canadian government with evidence of spying may have birthed the Cold War. Fact-based drama also stars June Havoc, Berry Kroeger, Edna Best; William Wellman directs.
